MFV-02 Magnesium Wheels

Ultralight forged magnesium wheel designed using F1 technology for track driving. The wheel is engineered to be lightweight yet strong, with front wheels weighing about 16.3lbs (7.4kg) and rear wheels about 21lbs (9.5kg). Forged magnesium reduces weight by roughly 30% relative to forged aluminium and increases specific strength by around 12 %; it also provides high damping capacity and is eco friendly and recyclable. Racing innovations include lower unsprung mass, better shock absorption and high thermal conductivity for improved handling, braking, acceleration and fuel efficiency. Manufacturing incorporates massive forging presses, flow forming, heat treatment, CNC turning and milling, polishing and micro arc oxidation, and the wheels undergo radial, rotary and impact fatigue tests for certified strength.
