There are plenty of ways to build a Mercedes-AMG G 63. The challenge is creating one that feels substantially different without losing what makes the G-Wagon iconic.

For this particular build, Wheels Boutique took a very different approach.

Starting with the unmistakable Mercedes-AMG G 63, the exterior was completely transformed with a full Urban Automotive widebody package, extensive carbon fiber, custom lighting, and—most importantly—a set of Urban Automotive UV7 wheels in Brushed Clear.

The result is a G 63 that pushes the factory proportions much further while maintaining the unmistakable character of the G-Class.

A Full Urban Automotive Widebody Transformation

The transformation begins at the front of the G 63.

Urban Automotive’s widebody treatment completely reworks the front fascia, replacing the factory appearance with a much more aggressive design. One of the standout details is the carbon front crash-bar replacement, which adds a substantial amount of visible carbon fiber to an area that is normally overlooked.

The front end also incorporates:

  • Carbon lower front components
  • Integrated DRLs
  • Custom camera surround
  • Urban Automotive grille
  • Carbon hood inserts
  • Urban Automotive badging

The combination gives the G 63 a considerably wider and more purposeful appearance.

Rather than simply adding aggressive styling pieces, the widebody actually changes the visual proportions of the vehicle, creating the additional width needed for a more substantial wheel and tire package.

The Side Profile: Wider, Lower, and More Aggressive

Moving down the side of the G 63, the Urban Automotive package continues with the extended bodywork and running boards.

The build also features dedicated side-exit exhausts, adding another visual and functional element to the side profile.

The widebody is particularly important here.

The G 63 has an inherently upright, boxy shape, and the additional width gives the truck a much more planted stance. It also creates the visual space necessary for the larger wheel package without making the wheels look disconnected from the body.

The Rear Gets the Carbon Treatment

At the rear, the Urban Automotive theme continues with a carbon spoiler and additional carbon inserts.

One of the more distinctive details is the large carbon spare-wheel cover, which turns what is normally a functional necessity on the G-Class into a significant styling element.

The rear spoiler was intentionally kept relatively subtle.

Rather than using an extremely tall or aggressive wing, this build uses a smaller lip-style spoiler that complements the shape of the G 63 without making the rear look overworked.

For a vehicle that is still a luxury SUV, that balance matters.

The Wheels: Urban Automotive UV7 in Brushed Clear

The centerpiece of the build is undoubtedly the wheel package.

This G 63 is fitted with Urban Automotive UV7 wheels finished in Brushed Clear.

The UV7 has become particularly versatile across the high-end SUV and luxury segment, working on everything from Range Rovers and Rolls-Royce models to the Mercedes-AMG G-Class.

For this particular G 63, the decision was straightforward:

23-inch UV7s.

The size works with the proportions of the widebody G-Class and gives the vehicle the substantial visual presence expected from a build at this level.

The Brushed Clear finish also allows the wheel design to remain visible without overwhelming the rest of the vehicle.

Custom Center Caps

The wheels are equipped with dynamic floating center caps, with the ability to customize the center-cap treatment depending on the desired direction of the build.

For this G 63, the more customized Urban Automotive aesthetic was chosen rather than an OEM-plus approach.

That’s one of the advantages of building a wheel package through Wheels Boutique: details such as center caps, finishes, sizing, and other specifications can be tailored to the overall build rather than simply selecting an off-the-shelf configuration.

The 24-inch wheels are paired with Yokohama ADVAN Sport tires 305/35/23 on 23×10.5 , giving the setup the performance-oriented tire package appropriate for the G 63.

The Finished G 63

This build demonstrates what happens when the wheel and bodywork are designed as one package.

The Urban Automotive widebody provides the additional visual width. The carbon components add definition. The UV7 wheels fill the enlarged arches. And the Brushed Clear finish gives the wheels enough contrast to remain a focal point without fighting the rest of the vehicle.

Most importantly, the modifications don’t attempt to turn the G 63 into something it isn’t.

It’s still a G-Class.

It’s simply a much more aggressive interpretation of one.

At Wheels Boutique, that’s ultimately the goal with a build like this: take an already iconic vehicle and build a specification that feels intentional from every angle.
