The magnesium construction is around 30% lighter than forged aluminium and offers higher specific strength, high damping capacity and recyclability. Innovations that reduce unsprung mass, improve shock absorption and increase thermal conductivity translate to faster acceleration, shorter braking distances and better fuel economy. The world leading manufacturing process involves forging, flow forming, heat treatment, precision CNC machining, polishing and micro arc oxidation, with strength validated through radial, rotary and impact fatigue tests.
